Proper Patrol – Dakota Cook

 

A new kind of class designed to challenge officers.
This two day class will lead officers through the ideas of successful proactive policing.

Topics covered include; The importance of high level training, tactical care of critical injuries, patrol level management of sources of information within communities, proven high crime areas, officer safety, officer wellness, complexities of
conspiracies, current trends of criminal behavior, and the latest of drug trafficking.

 

 

Learning how to manage time to maximize effectiveness and efficiency is more important now than ever with most agencies struggling to meet staffing levels and crime on the rise.  Proactive Law Enforcement activity is proven to lower crime rates and increase community support for Law Enforcement.

This all new class is what every officer needs to achieve and maintain their highest potential.  Topics will include aspects of fitness, nutrition, healthy lifestyles, overcoming shift work and stress management.  Learn how to lose fat, gain strength, take back your confidence, and get Fit for Duty with a proven plan that has helped hundreds of first responders.  Monica Crawford comes to LEO DEN with an 8 year career in law enforcement and a combined 20 years inside the fitness and nutrition space to bring simple and actionable solutions to common problems that LEOs face to create immediate results.  Implementing the information taught in this class can help attendees to improve energy levels, improve moods, improve mental health, and help LEOs begin to see fat disappear, create lean muscle definition, and have uniforms fitting better than it has in years.

Proper Handling – Jared Johnson

 

This is a brand new class for law enforcement. A unique course for K9 handlers of all experince levels and those aspiring to become handlers.  Jared Johnson, a highly decoraded K9 handler, instructs this course with expertise and experince.  This class will cover the latest advancements in case law regarding Canine Handling as well as best practices for officers.  From deployment data and training logs to problem solving and maintenance training.  This course is a must take course for any supervisor, deputy, agent, or officer in any way associated with a law enforcement K9.  Students that wish to join or start up a K9 program will benifit as well and will be exposed to the industry standards as well as tips and tricks from an active and experinced K9 handler.

Respond and Rescue – Zac Reaves

 

This comprehensive course, led by a seasoned SWAT paramedic, equips police officers with essential tactical medical skills tailored for high-risk law enforcement operations and response to traumatic calls for service. Designed specifically for law enforcement professionals, the course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice to ensure officers are prepared to provide immediate medical assistance in high-pressure situations.

 

Participants will gain critical skills in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) protocols, focusing on the unique challenges faced in law enforcement settings. Core components include managing life-threatening bleeding, airway compromise, and trauma in hostile environments.

 

The course combines classroom instruction with practical exercises, including scenario-based drills.  Officers will have the opportunity to learn and practice tactical medical interventions directly applicable to their duties.

 

This course is ideal for patrol officers, SWAT team members, and law enforcement professionals seeking to enhance their tactical emergency medical capabilities. Prior first aid or basic medical training is recommended but not required.

 

Upon completion, participants will be more confident in their ability to render effective medical aid, increasing their resilience and ability to save lives in the line of duty.

New York VTL – Erik Johanson

Vehicle Traffic Law

 

 

This course will help New York Law Enforcement Officers navigate the NYS VTL which can be utilized on patrol proactively.  Officers seldomly train on Vehicle Traffic Law specifically however those that choose to take the initiative and understand these laws will be able to use all of the tools afforded to them by law.  As we know officers that properly and effectively utilize case law can eliminate grey areas of uncertainty and proactively patrol with confidence.  Students that attend this course can expect to leave with a well rounded knowledge of vehicle traffic laws, including those lesser known and underutilized.  Students will also understand what is and isn’t proper regarding VTL usage and applicable case laws for proactive policing.  Students will explore DeBour levels as well as the laws of dealer plates and motorized bikes.  For the officer that wants to think outside of the Uniform Traffic Ticket sign up today.
